When I first saw the newest dress from Ruby Ribbon, I just wasn’t sure. The dress, called the Optic Dress, had a lot going on. It’s a black and white strip, mainly horizontal (oh, horrors!) but also some diagonal striping.
In fact, I refrained from trying it myself for a while, because like I said, I just wasn’t sure.
But, boy, was I wrong!
I got this dress as a sample and people starting trying it on at my trunk shows — and it LOOKS GREAT ON EVERYONE! So, I had to order one for myself too. When I wear it, I always wear it with either a red jacket (very impactful) or with several pieces of bright jewelry. (I especially like it with bold turquoise, but any bright color would work.)
What’s great about this dress is that while the striping on it makes it very flattering, it also has a Ruby Ribbon secret. Tucked inside is a shaping slip that helps smooth and control you. The slop ends with black lace trim with a silicone gripping edge to keep the slip in place. And, the dress has a shelf bra built-in that works for anyone with a smaller cup size.
