Char's Outfit of the Day

Hey, maybe you’re not interested, but I guess this is a fashion blog. I’m meeting some clients today and wanted to be sure I was wearing something fun, but also casual, from the Ruby Ribbon Fall capsule.
I choose the new Nothing but Net Tunic, that I love because it’s nice and long, but so unique.  It has a funky net overlay with a black liner underneath. I paired it with the black Criss Cross Capris (which are starting to sell out in black, BTW) since it’s going to be 75 degrees today.
I threw on a fun colored scarf and some bright blue sandals (I LOVE fun and unique sandals!) to accent this all-black outfit. I’m grabbing some Ruby Ribbon catalogs and I’m out the door!

Casual Sunday outfit

I’m excited for today!  Ruby Ribbon’s Sales Director for our region is in Fargo (and I think it might be her first in ND, I’ll check) and she’s getting together with the Instaglams, my Ruby Ribbon team, for training.
_I wanted to be comfortable, and of course wear Ruby Ribbon head to toe Ribbon head to toe. Here’s what I selected.

  • Ruby Ribbon Logo Tank (appropriate, huh?)
  • Skirted Leggings – my favorite since I get a bit more coverage when I don’t wear a tunic
  • And I’m still deciding between the Judi Cardigan and the Ponte Jacket — Which do you think?

By the way, you also can meet our Sales Director from California. Stop out for our On Trend Fashion Event Trend Fashion Event tomorrow night (Oct 24) at 6:30 pm at the Four Points by Sheraton in Fargo, ND.  We will be showing the fashions on our friends and family — women of all sizes, shapes and ages, plus you can try things on and maybe win a door prize.

Not just a cami after all

When I getting ready for work today, at first I thought that I maybe finally had a day where I only wore my Ruby Ribbon cami and no other Ruby Ribbon pieces. But at the last minute, I added my peacock colored Ruby Ribbon lace scarf so I guess I continue to be a Ruby Ribbon ambassador at all layers of my wardrobe.
I have a big selection of Ruby Ribbon camis, and today I picked the Pale color in the Sheer Collection Full Support cami. (I find that this v-neck option is one of my personal favorites.) I’m including a picture of the lace scarf too, although we don’t offer it any longer. But we do have several other scarves in the line right now.  And, just to tell the full Sheer Collection story, I threw in pictures of it in black and kiss red too.

It's still summer!

Since it’s still summer, I wanted to show you some outfit options that are all about summer!  The basis of these outfits is the White Mesh Sleeve Tunic, which feels cool and breezy like a tank top, but has one advantage in that your arms are covered with the mesh sleeves.

The model has paired this top with the Ruby Ribbon White Capri Leggings. The other two outfit options with this top is to wear it with the Black Slim Leg Pants. Or to build on the skirt we saw yesterday, wear it with the Ruched Skirt.
And, pair it always with some fun leopard or cheetah prints – yikes!

A skirt for all seasons

Honestly, at most trunk shows and shopping parties, i call it the “skirt that looks horrible on a hanger,” and I mean the Ruby Ribbon Ruched Skirt.
But, I also often wear it so women can see how flattering it in when someone puts it on. It’s the ruching on the skirt that helps hide some of our flaws (at least I have some, maybe you don’t). And, the shaping slip that is built in also doesn’t hurt.

Here we are showing you three ways to wear the Ruched Skirt right now (and I wear it all year long with different tops, sweaters and jackets).

Happy Leap Day!

feb 29As the final outfit of the day that I selected for my month of wearing Ruby Ribbon every day, I selected two of my very favorites – the Manhattan Tunic and the Lace Panel Ponte  Leggings. I added some cute black ankle boots and a long silver necklace.
This month of blogging my outfit has made me hyperaware of what I wear each day. I paid a lot more attention to my accessories, and my shoes and even putting lipstick on before I left the house (because I didn’t want a pale face on the web every day).
I did find that it was easy to mix and match my Ruby Ribbon to come up with varying outfits every day. I don’t think I had too many repeat outfits. I also enjoyed selecting items from my Ruby Ribbon rack that I hadn’t worn yet, or were from the new Spring 2016 collection.
I hope you enjoyed this. I’m going to now start brainstorming on fun and fashionable topics to blog about in March.

I got ya!

IMG_20160228_131054Hmmm, I’m bet you were expecting my typical casual Sunday clothes?  Well, I tricked you today. I found this cute Ruby Ribbon t-shirt in  my closet (with the unique shaping sleeve built-in, BTW) and I decided that while I was going to spend the day working on my taxes, it would be comfortable enough with black ankle leggings.
I’m nearly done with my taxes and then plan to spend some time prepping for my upcoming Ruby Ribbon shows.  I have four already planned this month!

My "go to" skirt

feb 25We are nearing the end of February and I’ve been able to keep my commitment to wear something from the Ruby Ribbon line every day (in addition to my Ruby Ribbon ‘Bye Bye Bra’ cami that is a given).  Today, I wore a pink top with the Fit and Flare Skirt.
This is my “go to” skirt during any season – looks great with tights and boots this time of year, but super cute with summer sandals and a short sleeve top too.
I don’t want to double-up on outfits, but I’m kind of running out of ideas. If there is something you want to see in the next few days, drop me a note and I’ll see what I can come up with.

This is not me, but it's how I felt

rio burnout top
Sunday, we got on a plane and flew home from Vegas. With the time change not in our favor on the way home, it pretty much felt like it took all day to get home.
This is how I felt when we landed — Woo Hoo!  We are off that plane after three hours in flight.
And, this is the top I wore too — the Rio Tunic in the black burnout fabric. I wore it with my Bootcut Leggings. Comfortable outfit for traveling… (I also wore open-toed sandals home, and yikes, that was cold walking to the vehicle in ND!)

My favorite top from Spring Collection

IMG_20160219_110549 (2)By far, my favorite top in the Spring  2016 Capsule is the Mesh Sleeve Tunic Sleeve Tunic that I wore yesterday. I like that it’s a little longer in the back than the front, is very soft fabric and the mesh sleeves are so unique.
I wore it yesterday two ways. Most of the day I paired it with this patterned skort. Then, when it was cooler, I changed into capri-length jeans. I liked it with both.
